We would like to congratulate City of Melbourne for the official opening to Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre last week. There was an amazing selection of creative activities include: Arduino and 3D printer demonstrations by MakerBasics, hand script lettering course by Old School – The New School of Typography, 3d-selfie scan (see above!) by The Robots Are Coming, a showcase of Oculus Rift and a DIY virtual reality set using Kinect and Android-based mobile virtual headset by the Melbourne Library team, cooking demonstrations and a lot more!

If you haven’t been to the library – you might want to check out the events that are running there and their bookable facilities because it’s one of the most affordable meeting spaces we’ve seen so far in the city. Go to their website to check it out.
