Reflecting the company’s dynamic yet traditional corporate image, the 1980s fitout of South Australian Brewing Holding’s Adelaide offices celebrated bold colours, innovative furniture and an extensive array of Australian art.

Rich American Cherry timber boardroom and dining tables expressed solidity, while strikingly modern and controversial Norman Foster Tecno Nomos desks provided a dynamic counterpoint. A loud Nexus commissioned rug sat beneath even louder Fritz Hansen Decision chairs, covered in a bold fabric, while contemporary Danish furniture received washes of blues, red and purple.

Amongst these icons comfortably sat pieces from Michael Johnson, Elizabeth Gower, John Firth Smith, Hans Heysen and John Peart, a collection so popular that community tours were conducted to allow the pieces to reach a wider audience.
