Arts & Crafts House

Designing a new kitchen for clients who live in one of only two authentic ‘Arts and Crafts’ houses in Victoria required considerable research and resulted in a full wall of black and white William Morris style art deco tiles. This was a bold statement and one the owners embraced.

Simplified by black and white joinery and an existing timber floor, splashes of brilliant scarlet in the joinery detailing, the Tolix stools and kitchen accessories make this kitchen unique.

The resulting kitchen is practical, contemporary and very suitable for a busy young family, yet happily reminiscent of the ‘Arts and Crafts’ movement.
