Boyac Showroom

After occupying the same showroom in Armadale for 20 years, Boyac relocated to a warehouse in Cremorne. The new showroom had to be flexible and be easily rearranged for dinners and events, something that had previously been impossible. The industrial nature of the site contributed to creating a raw studio-like space where designers have the ability to spread out while they assemble fabric palettes.

Floor to ceiling ladder-like shelving made from plywood creates a no fuss backdrop to all the fabrics on display and extends the height of the space visually. Open backed shelves create a screening device dividing staff desks spatially from the showroom whilst maintaining a visual link. Exposed concrete floor and services contribute to the warehouse feel along with black aluminium elements throughout.
