PGH Bricks Style Guide

“Classic, contemporary, eclectic or artistic, understanding your own personal style is an important step when choosing the perfect brick for your new home.”

Given the sometimes perplexing number of choices in external building materials available to consumers, PGH Bricks identified an opportunity to provide their customers more confidence in their build by streamlining the decision-making process and helping them choose the products that best suit them and their lifestyle.

Nexus Designs was engaged to design and produce individual material palettes, each representing one of the eight Trends/Styles identified by PGH Bricks – Sophisticated Neutrals, Grey All the Way, Dark & Stormy, Back to Nature, Red Revival, Perfect Imperfection, A Touch of Texture and Industrial Chic. These palettes champion both a hero and feature PGH product, in combination with complementary external materials such as roofing, gutter & fascia, paint colours, window trim and timber or stone finishes – which together cover all the common elements in a build selection.

Our multidisciplinary design team were approached to assist with maximising this opportunity through the creation and marketing roll-out of the PGH Bricks National Styles Campaign. With a broad audience base – primarily first and second home buyers,  residential renovations and independent builders who would benefit from access to curated design content – we identified a driving question for the campaign, Which Style Are You?

Each palette was designed as both a Flatlay/Moodboard style image similar to that a designer or architect would produce to inspire and present to clients and as a stacked Scheme style image which represents the more practical layout a customer would experience when working to create their palette with PGH Selection Centre staff. These beautiful material palettes represent the essence of each of the eight Styles and are utilised extensively across a broad range of social media, print collateral, online content and face-to-face delivery in order to excite, inform and reassure consumers during their design journey.
