St Michael’s Grammar School

At St Michael’s Grammar School, reception and the Head of the School are located within an elegant Victorian era building, Hewison House. These important spaces no longer accurately reflected the creative, innovative attitude and philosophy of the School so we were briefed to update them visually and functionally, aiming for a fresh feeling that was respectful of the history of the school, but simultaneously, future focused.

We completely reviewed the functional requirements including lighting, traffic flow and integration of technology, storage and lighting. All of these items were addressed in the re-designing of these spaces. Built-in joinery was custom designed, and furniture was selected with simplicity, modernity and function in mind. The resulting spaces are now a true reflection of the creative, innovative nature of the school.
