Sweet Poppy

For this hospitality, leisure and retail project in Nonthaburi, Thailand, our brief was to create an engaging, family-oriented brand that would communicate a combination of services as a wholesome unit.  A family venture providing all that families are after in a tropical venue, our visual strategy represents the elements and ethos of the Sweet Poppy customer experience  through five organic shapes that combine into one floral form inspired by the language of flowers.

Transcending language and cultural differences, flowers demonstrate care, express welcome and are abundant and culturally significant in Thailand. Paired with a fresh colour palette and playful typography, each graphic element can be used in isolation or combination to create a diverse and flexible visual language to communicate and celebrate the different business offerings – food, flowers, party, play and mindfulness. Represented abstractly by a bowl, a petal, a balloon, a mound and a stone respectively with a colour palette that complements the interiors, architecture and landscaping, the identity encompasses multiple destinations and experiences at Sweet Poppy, including a café, restaurant, juice bar, private dining area, yoga studio, product store, florist and children’s playground.
