We are pleased to announce nominations for the 2024 Nexus Designs Janne Faulkner Prize for Design Excellence at RMIT are open.

Established in 2019 in memory of Nexus Designs founder, Janne Faulkner, the prize is awarded annually to recognise the most outstanding 2nd year RMIT student enrolled in either the Diploma of Interior Design, the Associated Degree of Interior Decoration and Design, or the Associate Degree of Graphic Design.

Nominees are determined by select RMIT departmental staff and the winner will receive both a monetary prize and an opportunity at Nexus Designs to further develop their industry skills and portfolio.

“We know how valuable it is for graduates to spend time in a studio and to receive mentoring and how those early experiences can shape a whole career,” said Nexus Designs Director Sonia Simpfendorfer. “Our studio is endlessly curious about the new, and how design is evolving - spending time with upcoming designers feeds right into that interest too.”
